I had an idea of what I wanted to do, and have been thinking about it for a while as an abstract. My typical styles are realistic and impressionistic, so I combined abstract with the latter.
The concept began on the day I took the tigers photo at the Adelaide Zoo. He was so far away that I had to full zoom & try to keep my camera still. As soon as I pointed the camera at him, he turned his head & just kept holding eye contact with me for about a minute. It took me that long to get my settings & composition right & I was panicking I'd totally miss the shot. It was incredible. After I was happy that I got a good reference shot, he just turned away & never looked back. It's like he knew.
